Restoration Showhouse

Lucinda’s Interiors had the honor of doing the  Master Bedroom at the 2012 Designers Restoration Showhouse.  We had rave reviews and great publicity from this event.  But, if you missed it or want to see it again, I have pictures for you to view below.

What we did!

The walls were painted “Quietude” with 2 shades darker on the ceiling.
The windows received Silhouette motorized shading systems.
Dressed the windows with Medallion Top Drapery panels with a gathered skirted panel across the bottom with a beaded band between the two fabrics.
The same draperies were used for the bed dressing behind the upholstered headboard.
The bedding consists of a Custom Duvet Cover with a variety of shams and pillows, and a tailored dust skirt that matched the draperies.
The Wing Back Chair is an old piece that was found in an antique store and had reupholstered in a beautiful new fabric.
The White dresser was found at a garage sale, yes a garage sale.  It was blonde with no hardware, or holes for hardware, and the top was damaged.  So, we cleaned it up, primed and painted it a soft white, then added crystal embellished wallpaper to the drawer fronts.  New hardware was added to give it a more classic look and a mirror was cut to lay on top to cover the damaged top.  (See before picture below of this cabinet.)
The chandeliers were in my storage, that I had removed from a previous job.  They were brass in color, so we again cleaned, primed and painted the chandeliers.  The mini-chandelier was then taken to an electrician to be re-wired into a swag lamp to hang over the bed side table.  (See picture below.)
All of the artwork in the room were painted by Muncie Artist.  All but one painting was painted by Susan Marsh, who with her husband had this house built.  What a blessing to have this wonderful artwork in this room.
